Technovation voted Best Conference Production Company 3 years in a row
Technovation (CPM) Ltd is PRODUCTION COMPANY OF THE YEAR for the third year in a row, according to readers of Meetings and Incentive Travel Magazine. They voted Technovation their favourite supplier, recognising the excellent service provided by Technovation’s conference production team.
Technical Director Phil Abbott received the trophy in front of 750 guests at the M& IT Awards dinner, one of the most prestigious awards events in the conference & travel industry. Ian Harvey-Piper, Technovation’s Managing Director said, We’re delighted that our clients think so highly of us.
This is our fifth industry award so we are extremely happy. We have a strong reputation for providing professional and cost-effective conference solutions both in the UK and overseas and we’re constantly looking for ways to further improve our services.
Technovation has recently introduced a new concept of a ‘Conference in a Suitcase’. All the set, lighting, sound equipment, projection, and computers required can be transported anywhere in the world in just four cases. Ian Harvey-Piper explains, This is ideal for company briefings and press announcements for up to 100 delegates. It offers great value for money and is already proving to be a very popular service. It is a logical step on from our ‘Show in a Van’ service, which can be specifically tailored to meet individual clients’ needs for conferences of up to 250 delegates.’
Established in 1991, Technovation offers a wide variety of event production services, including conference and exhibition production management, computer graphics creation, technical design and implementation, and print design and production.
Technovation win GOLD award for 'Leo Pharmaceuticals Dovobet launch' in Cape Town
Dovobet is the first major product to be launched by Leo Pharmaceuticals in 10 years, and is therefore of huge strategic importance to the company. The event's prime function was to motivate and excite the sales force. The choice of venue (Cape Town), conference sessions, activities and logistical arrangements were all equally important in terms of its overall success.
Once Cape Town had been chosen, brainstorming sessions were held to develop a theme which would incorporate the triumphant breakthrough of Dovobet and ideally continue the previous conference key word of "top". An anagram of "Cape Town" is we can t.o.p" "triumph over psoriasis".
A descriptive 'working title' theme was honed down to the bare essentials as 'we can...' , a mission statement that ran throughout the event and was reflected in graphics, delegate print and scripting.
The import of the message and the scale of work to date were summarized in a 'video diary' sequence, introducing the product story to delegates on day one. Using a 30 foot 'Watchout' screen served by three overlapping projectors, still and moving video images depicting the 10 year evolution of the product were condensed seamlessly into a dynamic 40 minute presentation. The key presenter (Dovobet's product manager) was choreographed around the emerging images on screen.
For the audience, the story unfolded effortlessly as text, vox pops, production and marketing images were integrated in perfect sync with the live presenter and further enhanced by dramatic lighting effects. No lectern, no PowerPoint, no autocue, no distractions. The message came through strongly and clearly.
On day two, awards and additional portfolio information were outlined using an interactive quiz format and a team of African dancers performing against the moving visual backdrop. The audience had never seen anything quite like it and responded accordingly.
The event was deemed the most impactful and successful ever for Leo Pharmaceuticals. The bottom line is that the original sales target for the year was reached, and exceeded, within three months of the presentation. A unique achievement in itself and a resounding success for the individuals concerned, for Leo, and for Technovation.
